Landscape: Small Works - Prose/Poetry

Someone To Share It With

With the sun shining down
And a cloud filled sky
The flock of birds cry out
As they fly by

The perfect balance
Between sun and breeze
Creates a fine afternoon
That would put any soul at ease

Just another street
But it feels like much more
Just a simple setting
With so much to explore

And the longer you’re there
The more it becomes clear
This would be quite a moment to share
With someone you hold dear

  1. I found the very first stanzas to be very literal in description. I wasn't sure where the direction of your poem was going until the final lines. The statement of implying it should be share with someone is very romantic and self-less. I am looking forward to seeing how you translate this visually in your comic. I think the last lines are the poetic climax/resolution and should not go under looked or noted, although it might be challenging.

    1. At first I didn't plan on having the comic having anything to do with the last two lines but after reading your reply and thinking about it I came up with a nice way of translating them into a comic, so ayy I guess I'm going with that
